In order to keep providing industry leading voice biometrics, we will be making adjustments to our pricing to include up-charges for Speech-To-Text (STT) Bulletproofing.
So, starting Nov 21st 2020 we will be up-charging for all STT Vendor Services.
In order to provide additional bulletproofing on the voiceprint phrase recording, it is sent to our outside Speech-To-Text (STT) vendors which are Microsoft and Google. Before being sent, the recordings are obfuscated for privacy. In other words, they have no meta data or Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
Then during enrollment, verification, or identification, we send the original obfuscated recording to the STT vendor and, if that fails, we resend a processed obfuscated recording. This workflow provides a low false reject rate in order to meet the end users expectations. Each time a recording is sent to an STT vendor an up-charge of $0.0014 (Microsoft) or $0.006 (Google) is added to the overall cost of the API call.
